Bert's Country Dancing

On Route 66 about half way  between Hackberry and Valentine, Arizona are a couple more remnants from yesteryear. They are almost straight across the road from each other, and both have large pull offs in front of them. The large pull offs are a convenience for all the Route 66 traffic stopping to capture a shot.

  1. That is my Uncle Bert's place. When he retired from working for the County of Mohave and owning a working cattle ranch, which I spent my teenage years working on. He opened this little place. It was jumping with live music and dancing. Uncle Bert played the fiddle and guitar and anyone else that wanted to sit in was welcome. Many wonderful memories and we miss his presence everyday.
